Freedom writers
So I recently enjoyed a outstanding movie named Freedom Writers which was released in 2007 . This movie is nothing you have ever seen before , there's racism , discrimination , segregation , stereotyping , and prejudice aspects in this movie. The movie starts out with a girl named Eva that witnessed her sibling die in front of he because of a drive-by shooting . Her dad was put in jail for a crime that he didn't commit , the police arrested him because ' his people' are known to be in a gang. Eva grew up and went to a seemingly normal school , but the school is actually full of racism , shooting, brawling and division between the students. The students was told to be incapable of learning by the teachers to a new teacher named Erin Gruwell . She is a dedicated teacher taking on the challenge to teach and change the behavior of these students to help them graduate from high school. She teaching technique was deemed strange and stupid by the teachers there. The class she was teaching was very divided between the students , by that I mean they are divided by their skin tones and where they are from . Ms G as they call her tried her best to help the students and ended up bonding with them and knowing what they like . She was so attached to her students , that her husband wanted a divorce . But that did not stop her from achieving her ultimate goal. She managed to bond the students and help get their grades up . But further though her course of teaching she was not able to teach them one year, because she doesn't have enough teaching experience . She tried to fight to teach the class the following year. At the end she managed to teach them until they graduated . I learned to never give up if you want to achieve something in life and to always be supportive of each other .
Good insight. Glad you learned something from the movie.
