Drama Competition
Recently my school SMKDJ, organised a drama competition. The theme of the drama was "Creative and innovative" which in my opinion was a pretty good theme for Year Five students as they were obligated to think more creative whillst answering questions. My class Five Angsana, thought of an amazing story and it was was about a boy named Alexander Knight who was chosen by the prophecy to help bring back creativity in tje world where money and order are the only thing keeping the world from chaos, so the ruler thought.
The ruler, referred to only as Mr.P took over the world and had the power at his fingertips.Whilst my friends were rushing to perfect the script , the director then held a small audition for the roles that were currently put out. I wanted a role as the assassin but was too shy to ask for the position. At the end it all worked out as my close friends were chosen to be the 3 assassins that were also named as the henchman of Mr.P.
Although i did not take the role of the assasin, it was all good because I replaced my friends when they were away. The experience of acting was awesome and I would never forget the feeling of threatening another during the drama practice. My role was also to be a timekeeper for my class drama as we had a time limit of 12 minutes. Days past and our drama practice had it's ups and downs but we were a team and confident that we would win top 3.
Well that was until we saw our rival classes drama, they were fantastic and words cannot describe how amazing it was . Then ... judgement day came. Our class was the last class to perform and we were nervous yet exited , strong yet weak. When we finished our drama presentation, there was a around of applause for us.
The teachers then made the final decision , in third place was the class which presented their drama in a prehistoric era, and second place was given to my rival class . At that point we had thoughts of having lost in the competition as our rival class presented their drama the best in our opinion . But as our hopes of becoming the winners in the competition began to fade away, we least expect to win the first place. We roared to our surprise and happiness , as we did not expect to win after we saw how great our competitors were. In conclusion , we should always work hard and never give up because hard work always pay off.
