Helping International Students

Many students in the world would love to explore and continue their studies in another country. Students need to extend their knowledge about the world ad the most effective way is to travel to another country and start to live how the people there live. Malaysia in my humble opinion is outstanding way to jump start a students learning experience because Malaysia is a very diverse country consisting of three main races, which are Chinese, Malay and Indian.

Before the international students arrive in Malaysia , they would have done extensive research on the weather here and how the schools here are , this will provide them a good solid foundation into having an enjoyable experience studying in Malaysia. As the students arrive in Malaysia, they are greeted with multicultural people wishing them a good stay. Waiting for them are the student counsel which will explain how they adapt to living in Malaysia.

Sightseeing would also help international students to understand the culture in Malaysia which would allow them to prevent misunderstanding between people which may result in unnecessary arguments . Furthermore, they would be shown the roads and the basic driving needs in Malaysia as driving in Malaysia would be different when compared to other countries such as the United States of America. This will help them navigate themselves though the country without getting fatally lost. Shops and restaurants will also be shown to them as they can get their basic needs from them.

Eating habits will also be clarified in order to pay respects to the people's eating habits , for example the Malays will use their hands to scoop up food from their plate to eat, and this should be respected and not to be judged by foreigners. Language should also be taught to them as we are a very diverse country and we speak three or four main languages which are English, Malay, Tamil and Chinese. Although we are a diverse country certain people can only speak certain languages, this will require the international students to learn these languages to help improve their communication skills.

As a conclusion, international students will be welcomed with open arms to come study in Malaysia and this will require them to adapt to the situations which will also need them to understand the culture in Malaysia.
